Scott Valley is accessed by Highway 3, which links Yreka on I-5 with Weaverville on Highway 299, passing through rural, mountainous scenery the whole way. This is a beautiful place to visit, and a beautiful place to play pickleball!
Pickleball play takes place outdoor courts at Etna High School and on indoor courts at Berean Church in Etna. You can play as a visitor or beginner for free without joining the club. After three free visits, you’ll be asked to either join the club or pay $5 per visit.

Court Locations and Details
Scott Valley Outdoor Courts: Etna High School
We have eight outdoor courts with permanent nets at Etna High School, 400 Howell Ave in Etna. They are generally available sunrise to sunset anytime during summer, and other times depending on high school use and policies (check Playtime Scheduler described below for specific play times during the school year).
Scott Valley Indoor Courts: Berean Church
During wet weather, we play indoors on two courts at the Berean Church in Etna, located at 134 Church Street.
Find Games on Playtime Scheduler!
Use Playtime Scheduler to find out exactly when and where organized play takes place, and to sign up for specific sessions. Playtime Scheduler is FREE and only requires that you sign up with an email address. Our pickleball friends in Southern Oregon have an excellent explanation for how to use Playtime Scheduler.
Make sure you choose California for state and the “Mount Shasta, Siskiyou Co” for region. Always check to see if a scheduled session is for players at and above a certain level. If you don’t know your level, you’re probably 3.0 or lower.

Stay Informed About When and Where We Play
The best ways to stay up to date: check Playtime Scheduler and the club Facebook page, along with the News section of this website. Once you officially join, you’ll also be put on the club email list.
New to Pickleball?
We always welcome beginners. Just show up at a scheduled time and place (see info above about using Playtime Scheduler) and introduce yourself. Members will show you the basics and quickly have you playing games.
Visiting the Scott Valley?
We welcome all pickleball players. The Scott Valley is renowned for its natural beauty. It’s bordered by three federal wildernesses: Marble Mountain Wilderness, Russian Wilderness, and Trinity Alps Wilderness. We also have small-town charm in Etna and Fort Jones, where you will find good restaurants, breweries, and places to spend the night.
Please ask local pickleball players for recommendations on how to best enjoy your time in the Scott Valley.
Tournaments/Competitions
Our sister clubs in Mount Shasta and Yreka/Montague host several one-day scrambles a year, and the Mount Shasta club also runs an annual tournament. For dates and details of the upcoming scrambles and tournament, check our Events page, and also our News section.
Ready to Join the Club, or Make a Donation?
Annual dues are $30. Pay in check or cash and fill out a membership form at one of the scheduled club play times. A club officer will give you the form and take your money.
